Women's Self-Defense Class

Women's Self-Defense Class
Sunday, November 15 | 1:00 to 3:30 PM
Montgomery County, MD (exact location sent to registered participants before class)
$18 | Limited to 24 participants

Spend an afternoon building practical skills and real confidence. This hands-on class gives you tools you can use every day: how to read your surroundings, how to make smart choices about your personal safety, and how to respond physically when you need to. The techniques work at any age, size or fitness level, and no experience is needed.

What you'll learn

  • Situational awareness techniques you can use at home, at work, and while traveling.

  • Personal safety habits that become second nature

  • Core hands-on self-defense techniques, practiced with a partner

  • How to put it all together under pressure, at your own pace

Your instructor
Matt Watson is CTRI's Training Director. He has spent his career training federal protective agents, local, state, and federal enforcement officers, and police SWAT teams. Matt remains an active law enforcement officer in Virginia.

A class built for you
This class is open to women and girls 16 and older. Participants under 18 must attend with a parent or guardian who is also registered, and a parent or guardian must sign the waiver. Every drill is optional. You choose your level of participation, and you're welcome to observe any part of the class. Come on your own or bring a friend; each participant registers separately.

A female assistant instructor will be on the floor throughout the class.

Registration
Registration is $18 and holds your seat. Want to do more? Add a gift at checkout to sponsor a seat for another participant. If cost is a barrier, email info@CTResponse.org and we'll make sure you're in the room.

Location and waiver
After you register, you'll receive a link to sign a participation waiver. It takes about two minutes. We send the class location to registered participants 48 hours before class, once their waiver is on file.

What to wear and bring
Comfortable clothes you can move in, athletic shoes and a water bottle. Modest athletic wear is welcome.

Check-in
Please bring a government-issued photo ID. For the security of all participants, the name on your ID must match the name on your registration and your signed waiver. Can't attend? Your seat can go to someone else. Email info@CTResponse.org by Sunday November 8 to request a transfer. We'll update the registration and send the new participant her own waiver link.

Cancellations
Full refund through Sunday, November 8. After that, contact us to transfer your seat to a friend. If CTRI needs to change the date or cancel, we'll notify you right away and issue a full refund.
