Protecting our community takes all of us. Whether you are a synagogue leader looking to build a professional security team, a community member ready to serve, or an organization that wants to bring training to your institution — there is a role for you at CTRI. We currently serve the greater Washington DC region, including Maryland and Northern Virginia.

For Synagogues & Jewish Organizations

CTRI partners with synagogues, schools, and Jewish organizations of any size or affiliation to build professional, licensed security capacity from within their own community.

Our Guardians are licensed security professionals who train to a rigorous standard, operate under CTRI's license and insurance, and deploy to the institutions they call home. We work with your leadership to establish coverage schedules, coordinate with existing security resources, and build a sustainable long-term security program.

Become a Guardian

Step forward as a licensed security professional. CTRI Guardians receive rigorous training and are deployed to protect the synagogues, schools, and events they call home.

Our training program covers advanced firearms and tactical skills, active threat response, tactical emergency casualty care (C-TECC), threat detection and situational awareness, and de-escalation and use of force doctrine. Guardians maintain ongoing qualifications and re-qualify at the range multiple times per year.

Candidates must be legally eligible to carry a firearm, pass a thorough background screening, and commit to CTRI's training and qualification standards. Not every applicant will advance — we maintain high standards from the start.

Host a Training Program

CTRI brings nationally recognized training programs directly to synagogues, schools, and Jewish community organizations. From tactical emergency casualty care to situational awareness and active threat response, we work with your team to build a more prepared community.

Programs are available at no cost to qualifying institutions. Contact us to discuss scheduling a program for your organization.
