Firearms Training
CTRI offers community firearms training for Jewish community members across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region. Classes are designed to build practical skills in a structured, professional environment — from foundational safety and marksmanship to defensive pistol fundamentals.
Classes are offered periodically throughout the year, at varying skill levels. No prior experience is required for introductory courses.

Active Shooter Awareness
The threat to the Jewish community has never been greater. Active shooter training addresses the threat of an active shooter by providing awareness, preparation, prevention, and response methods. We provide guidance to individuals, including supervisors and staff, so that they can prepare to respond to an active shooter situation in the community.

SECURE - Safety Education for Crisis Understanding, Response, & Empowerment
This is a FREE online training class that provides a holistic approach to Safety Education for Crisis Understanding, Response, and Empowerment. This course goes beyond traditional preparedness training, providing participants with valuable insights, skills, and resources to confidently navigate and mitigate active threats.
This class will provide you with skills to help you improve the safety and security of yourself, your family, and the Jewish community. It will include information about threats to synagogues, as well as measures you can take to ensure your families are safer in your homes and as you go about your everyday lives.
